I’m a guy who is always on the go, juggling school, full-time work, and blogging. When I have little time left for imagination when getting ready, my go-to wardrobe staple is a good pair of denim. I love it’s versatility. It can be easily dressed up with a blazer, crew neck t-shirt, your favorite watch, and a good pair of derby shoes or just as easily be dressed down with sneakers and a baseball cap [I like to cuff mine for a more casual look].
That’s why I was super excited when asked by True Religion to create a look with their new line of core fit jeans [Thanks to Corinne at Chictopia!]. The Core Fits were built on a foundation of fit, style, and famous iconic stitching. They’ve been refined and completely redefined with a minimal twist to be your perfect, everyday jean.
The Ricky fit, a straight leg jean, continues to be their most popular fit for men. And I know why! As a slipped into them, I was amazed at their sheer comfortability. I had become accustomed to the stiffness experienced by other jeans I own. With a cotton and elastane fabric, the ‘Ricky’ is certainly the most durable and comfortable pair of jeans I now own.

Los Angeles can be a tricky one. I find the dramatic shifts in temperature to be quite challenging at times in deciding what to wear. I’ve come to terms with the fact that layering is my best friend. I’ve been slowly incorporating more pieces into my wardrobe that are weather versatile. I picked up this Obey tank top from Nordstroms while it was on sale. I liked the idea that it could be easily incorporated into a day to night time look, for example, by layer it with a plaid button-up long sleeve shirt and biker jacket.
